Thought it was time start using this blog thingamajig and record different reactions/symptoms/illnesses.
So... Hypoglycaemia - I've been a sufferer of this since I had my first child 22 years ago. As per usual doctors either ignore me, give me blood tests or refer me to a dietician (who never knows anything about it) when I ask for advice.
Anyway I had a "funny turn" today and decided to record things about it.
Started off the day no different to I normally do, but some foods do seem to trigger it off. Today it was Rice Krispies! I had them at about 8.45am and up until 11.55 I felt fine. Then suddenly, out of nowhere, I started to get the symptoms of hypoglycaemia. Started off feeling a little light headed and shaky. I decided that I was going to nip it in the bud today so grabbed a chocolate bar (yeah I know, don't lecture me!). As soon as I'd finished I knew it wasn't going to make an impact so I grabbed another (yeah yeah shhhh) and immediately felt sick. I sat down in sofa, put my head back and shut my eyes. My temperature seemed to rise, the shakiness was still present and I felt so warm. This lasted AN HOUR!! It is now half an hour since I felt we'll enough to move and am still shaking like my body is in shock, but am now feeling so cold too.
Would appreciate any comments. Lisa x
